Expect to see Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Mourning Doves, Brown-headed Cowbirds, House Finches, and Northern Mockingbirds. These birds thrive in the warm months but need extra support.
How to Help Birds in the Heat
Provide fresh water daily – Birdbaths with shallow water help birds stay hydrated.
Offer shade-friendly feeders – Placing feeders in shaded areas keeps food fresh.
Provide fruit & nectar – Hummingbirds and orioles love orange slices and nectar feeders.
